Our East Bay Area is a beautifully diverse community. +70% People of Color, overwhelmingly working-class with some of us working, some of us barely working, some of us still looking for work, some of us hoping to get back to work...
Besides English, we speak Spanish, Tagalog, Punjabi, Laotian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic and many dialects in between. A lot of us are first- or second-generation immigrants. With some families who’ve lived here for generations.
